How can I learn more about NESC?
Over three decades. NESC was launched in 1977, as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
About 100; fifty percent of them are with repeat clients.
Our consultants are successful senior-level executives and professionals who contribute their time, business experience and extraordinary expertise to NESC and its clients. This translates into high-quality but very affordable solutions that help nonprofit organizations do what they do better.
An extensive listing of recent clients is on the “Clients Page” of this website. From these, you can see that clients generally come from the following sectors -- Arts & Culture, Education, Government, Healthcare, Religion and Social Services. Some of those clients include: Connecticut Humanities Council, Jewish Historical Society, The Palisades Parks Conservancy, Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center, Outreach Project, Life's WORC, Excelencia in Education, Greenwich Public Schools, Zion Lutheran Church, Shelter for the Homeless, Asia Society, New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation.
Many involve strategic and business planning. Others include Board development, marketing and communications, executive search, fundraising strategies, organizational analysis, financial management assistance and more.
Fees are very reasonable. In fact they are a small fraction of what commercial, for-profit consulting firms charge. Factors determining NESC fees include the complexity of the problem posed by the nonprofit and the amount of time required to complete the consulting assignment.
If you have a problem with which you'd like help or an opportunity for growth or change that you're thinking of pursuing – or even if you're just interested in learning more about our services, then contact us. An NESC Consultant then will set up an appointment to meet with you. After we learn more about you, we will send you a summary of our understanding of your situation and will outline how we think NESC can help you. This is called a Draft Proposal or Letter of Agreement for smaller work plans. It includes the details of the engagement as we see it: scope of the project, expected NESC deliverables at the project's conclusion (such as a Strategic Plan or a Marketing Plan), timeline, staffing and, of course, the cost. If this meets with your approval, we initiate the project.
No. There is no charge for visits to define problems and scope the engagement.
The answer to that is easy: Contact us at 212-269-1234 Ext. 125, and we'll schedule an appointment.
