How NESC Helps Religion Clients

Marketing and Development
A national organization providing significant benefactor support for institutions of higher learning utilized NESC's professional skills for the evaluation of their outreach activities and effectiveness. Through interviews and data analysis, NESC identified strengths and weaknesses of its marketing and development operations, and provided specific recommendations designed to improve short- and long-term results.

Space Utilization
The congregation's administrative unit engaged NESC to create revised space planning and layout studies of its primary religious facility, one of the foremost buildings of worship in New York City. NESC consultants updated space plans and advised the client regarding improved building use and greater utilization of previously under-utilized space.

Fiscal Management Support
The National Executive Service Corps provided critical fiscal and accounting management support to a national organization providing support for its clerical leadership. NESC assisted with the resolution of audit issues, prepared the organization for updated financial audits, revised financial reporting systems and trained internal staff regarding new financial reporting processes and methods. In addition, NESC provided ongoing fiscal support during a multi-year engagement.

Strategic Planning
Working in collaboration with the Planning Steering Group, NESC developed a new mission statement and strategic plan for a well-established congregation. The team of NESC consultants evaluated the congregation's internal and external operation environment, identified critical issues, established goals and objectives, and created Action Plans for implementation.

Mentoring
The NESC consultant worked with the Executive Director of a Connecticut religious organization for six months, with particular emphasis on how to implement change.

Board Management
Seeking to boost fundraising and greater community involvement in his faith-based organization, its pastor turned to NESC. Our consultant worked with the pastor to form an Advisory Council of community leaders to advise and help him raise funds.

Executive Search
A historic Westchester church retained NESC to find a Chief Operating Officer who would manage the facility, improve its information systems technology and procedures, and strengthen its financial reporting systems.
